CITY OF INDUSTRY, CALIFORNIA – This week, OnCore Motor Group (OnCore), parent company of Reuland Electric Company, announced the acquisition of Motor Appliance Corporation (MAC), a Washington, Missouri-based manufacturer of specialty electric motors, battery chargers and related electronic and electromechanical products. The acquisition will complement Reuland’s product line and capabilities, and combine two U.S. motor manufacturers with long histories of engineering and manufacturing custom motor solutions.
Founded in 1937, Reuland has nearly 90 years of experience designing and manufacturing electric motors for demanding applications, including cranes, elevators, movable bridges, marine and shipboard equipment, military systems and critical infrastructure. MAC was incorporated in 1946 and has spent 80 years developing specialized motor and charging solutions for customers in material handling, pumps, HVAC, medical equipment, military applications, transportation maintenance, recreation and construction.
MAC's ability to support customers from initial concept through finished-product supply, along with its in-house manufacturing and OEM/ODM experience, should complement Reuland's vertically integrated manufacturing approach, engineering flexibility and ability to develop for difficult applications.
The acquisition will also broaden Reuland's capabilities at the smaller end of the motor spectrum. MAC's product portfolio includes compact AC induction motors in NEMA 42, 48 and 56 frames; brushless DC motors with power-dense, short-length designs and integrated or external controls; UL and CSA approved hazardous-duty motors; and custom stator and rotor assemblies.
MAC also brings specialized pancake, hermetic, 400 Hz and stainless-steel motor designs for applications where space, environment, temperature or performance requirements demand more than a standard motor can provide. MAC's industrial and commercial battery charger lines add an entirely new dimension to Reuland's offering. These products serve lift trucks, pallet jacks, automated guided vehicles, boom lifts, scissor lifts, floor-care equipment and golf cars, with charging solutions spanning light commercial batteries through large industrial systems. The addition of power electronics and charging expertise should create new opportunities for Reuland to serve customers with more complete motor, control and power-system solutions.
MAC will continue to operate from its Washington, Missouri, headquarters. Reuland’s operations and resources will add support to MAC's customers, employees and product lines while investing in the people, technology and manufacturing resources needed for future growth.

The transaction closed on July 21, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
