Rexel has reached an agreement to acquire suburban Chicago industrial automation provider Revere Electrical Supply, company officials announced Tuesday.
Revere, based in Mokena, Illinois, is a reseller of Rockwell Automation solutions and “a recognized industrial automation player,” Rexel officials said. The company operates 10 branches across northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin and generated about $330 million last year.
Financial terms of the proposed transaction were not disclosed, but Rexel said that it would be the second-largest acquisition of its 16 in North America since 2020.
“It significantly expands Rexel’s footprint in the important Midwest market and builds on Rexel’s strong presence in North America in industrial automation, a vertical benefiting from several mega-trends,” company officials said of the deal in Rexel’s announcement.
