Penn Stainless Products (Quakertown, PA) has expanded its inventory to include large-diameter sizes of round bar through 22” diameter (in 304/L) and through 24” diameter (in 316/L). The materials conform to ASTM A479 and ASTM A182, and the addition allows the company to be the only stainless center that stocks 304/L and 316/L in their largest sizes. According to the company, the round bar offers substantial machining advantages over fabricating pieces from processed plate product.
