Fluorescent Dyes Are Now Food Safe

Spectronics Corporation’s WATER-GLO™ Series fluorescent dyes are now NSF Certified and registered to meet food-grade processing requirements for category codes G7, GX and HTX-2.

Westbury, New York — Spectronics Corporation’s WATER-GLO™ Series fluorescent dyes are now NSF Certified and registered to meet food-grade processing requirements for category codes G7, GX and HTX-2. The dyes can thus be used in and around food processing areas.  WATER-GLO Series fluorescent dyes reveal all leaks in static and circulating water systems, boilers, storage tanks and other high-volume containers. They’re used to detect leaks in piping, valves, condensers, sprinkler system pumps, seams, welds and fittings. Wherever the water escapes, so does the dye, which remains at the site of all leaks. When the system is scanned with a high-intensity ultraviolet or violet light lamp, the dye glows brightly to pinpoint the precise location of every leak.
