John Deere on Monday announced plans to bring more than 375 employees back to work across its Quad Cities factory operations. The company has now brought back or hired more than 800 employees across Iowa and Illinois since January.
The agricultural equipment giant will return 150 employees to Seeding and Cylinder Operations in Moline and approximately 225 employees to Harvester Works in East Moline.

The company said that the additional workforce will help build dealer inventory ahead of upcoming planting and harvest cycles, support long-term operational planning, and position the company to continue serving customers through all operating environments — including future labor negotiations.
"Planning ahead is part of our commitment to customers and our manufacturing workforce," said John Deere spokesperson Dustin Lemmon. "We're pleased to welcome experienced team members back to our Quad Cities operations. Their skills and craftsmanship directly support the quality equipment our farmers and contractors depend on. Our focus remains on serving customers while continuing to work constructively with our workforce and union partners."
As the company aligns production schedules with its multi-year operational plans, John Deere said it expects to be well-positioned to continue supporting customers and provide uninterrupted access to the equipment, technology and service they need across a range of business conditions.
