Ferguson subsidiary Wolseley Canada plans to provide $15,000 in funding for post-secondary schools in Canada’s Atlantic provinces, the company said Thursday.
Wolseley officials said that the initiative would include 14 “need-based bursaries” to help offset financial costs tied to skilled trades education in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The company plans to prioritize plumbing and HVAC-related programs.
“It’s important to us to give back to the communities where our associates, customers, and vendors are,” Jacqueline Janes, the general manager for the Atlantic region at Wolseley Canada. “Helping more students enter the trades will greatly impact the industry.”
