Danone announced Tuesday that it has officially opened the new production line at its plant in Jacksonville, Florida.

The $65 million project, company officials said, would support its line of coffee and creamer products, including the International Delight and STĹŤK Cold Brew brands.

Danone said the expansion would improve its supply chain efficiency and delivery times across the Southeast. The line’s new capabilities also include a bottle-molding process that would reduce bottle losses and improve its water use.

"We are proud to be expanding our operations in Jacksonville and creating new jobs and opportunities in the local community,” Dan Magliocco, the president of Danone North America, said in a statement. “Today's announcement is the latest example of our over 80 year commitment to American manufacturing and strengthening our local communities.”

Danone added that the company is also building a new distribution hub in the Jacksonville area. The plant and distribution center are expected to create nearly 200 “direct and indirect” jobs in the region.
