GEORGETOWN, Kentucky — Toyota's Georgetown plant in Kentucky expanded the automaker's U.S. manufacturing footprint today as it began production of the all-new RAV4 Hybrid.

The plant’s evolving product lineup supports Toyota’s multi-pathway approach to electrification and will also launch the new Highlander Battery Electric Vehicle in September 2026.

The manufacturer also broke ground on its next-generation paint facility, which is designed to enhance efficiency and product flexibility.

The next-generation paint facility will reduce carbon emissions by 30% and save approximately 1.5 million gallons of water annually.

Finally, Toyota Kentucky also expanded its commitment to workforce development with a $500,000 grant to Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) in support of a new regional workforce training facility. The initiative will provide hands-on training to better equip students and upskill current workers across the Bluegrass region.

Toyota has invested more than $12 billion in the Kentucky plant, which has assembled some 15 million vehicles. The campus has nearly 10,000 employees.
