DeWalt (Hampstead, MD) is launching a line of compact lithium ion power tools, including a drill driver (DCD760KL), impact driver (DCF826KL), hammerdrill (DCD775KL), and a right angle drill (DCD690KL). Two combo kits, also available with the new line, offer packaged batteries and chargers. These tools are ideal for HVAC professionals and electrical or mechanical contractors who perform overhead drilling and fastening. The new compact lithium ion battery weights a pound, which helps reduce user fatigue. In addition, the impact driver and right-angle drill feature a variable speed reversing switch. A high-power, high-efficiency frameless motor helps deliver increased performance. The new batteries can be charged in 30 minutes, and are rated for 1,000 recharges.
