Effortless Deburring

The Abtex Corporation (Victor, NY) has introduced a compact, wet Tri-Ten planetary head deburring system in a return-to-operator (RTO) configuration. The system deburrs both sides of flat parts, up to 4.5” in diameter, in a single pass while drenching the workpiece in coolant to keep parts clean and extend brush life.

The system deburrs both sides of flat parts, up to 4.5” in diameter, in a single pass while drenching the workpiece in coolant to keep parts clean and extend brush life. Parts are then placed on a magnetic conveyor to be carried through an offset planetary deburring head, where three Abtex fiber abrasive brushes deburr the upward-facing surface. After the part is deburred, it passes under a final coolant rinse, followed by an air knife to blow off excess, and exits at an opening next to the entrance.
