ZYP Coatings, Inc. (Oak Tree, TN) has announced its new “Brushable” biodegradable, oil-based lubricant/coating/paint: Keralon-B. It can be used in temperatures from ambient to 1,000°C. The lubrication is based on a combination of organic and inorganic ingredients, including Methylated Seed Oil, boron, graphite, and more. Ideal applications include belts, conveyors, chains, rollers, hinges, bolts, and screws, according the ZYP. Other attributes include:
- A nonreactive content when used with molten metals, glasses, and slags.
- The prevention of oxidation and rusting while lubricating the part.
