A line of high-temperature, high-gloss, and VOC-compliant coatings that provide a porcelain-like appearance for metal surfaces is now available from Dampney Company, Inc (Everett, MA). The Thurmalox 8800 Series Heat Resistant High Gloss Coatings are silicone-based baking enamels that can withstand head to 500°F. They were developed for single-coat application in production lines, and are available in a wide range of custom colors with variable gloss levels. Once applied, the coatings are resistant to cracking, peeling, chipping, and flaking, according to the company. The solution is offered in 55-gallon drumbs, 5-gallon pails, and 1-gallon cans.
