To expand their Vortec Pro bonded abrasives product line, Weiler Corporation (Cresco, PA) has added 12” and 14” cutting wheels in aluminum oxide and silicon carbide grains for general purpose cutting. According to the company, they are designed for use with steel, iron, and other ferrous metals, with a resin-bond formulation for aggressive stock removal and fast cutting.

The Vortec Pro Type 27 grinding products range from 4” to 7” in diameter and are available in both 1/4” and 1/8” thicknesses. The cutting wheels are offered in .045”, .060” and 3/32” thicknesses in diameters from 4” to 7”.
