To expand their Vortec Pro bonded abrasives product line, Weiler Corporation (Cresco, PA) has added 12โ€ and 14โ€ cutting wheels in aluminum oxide and silicon carbide grains for general purpose cutting. According to the company, they are designed for use with steel, iron, and other ferrous metals, with a resin-bond formulation for aggressive stock removal and fast cutting.

The Vortec Pro Type 27 grinding products range from 4โ€ to 7โ€ in diameter and are available in both 1/4โ€ and 1/8โ€ thicknesses. The cutting wheels are offered in .045โ€, .060โ€ and 3/32โ€ thicknesses in diameters from 4โ€ to 7โ€.
