The SKF (Norristown, PA) SPEEDI-SLEEVE was designed for shaft sealing applications with an enhanced sealing system, improved reliability, and extended maintenance intervals. According to the company, the system is useful for industrial gearboxes, electrical equipment, crushers, conveyors, fans, and pumps. The SPEEDI-SLEEVE is slipped into position over worn shaft areas, providing an effective sealing surface, and takes only a few minutes to apply. Standard sizes for the new generation SPEEDI-SLEEVE cover shaft diameters ranging from 0.47” to 8”, and is also available as SPEEDI-SLEEVE Gold made for highly abrasive environments and for applications with seals made of filled PTFE.
