The new Pulse Control Module PCM5 from Omega (Stamford, CT) converts a 4 to 20 mA signal from a process or temperature controller or computer to a time proportional output. This pulse control module mounts directly on a single 3 to 32 Vdc input SSR and supports a single phase 50 or 60 Hz operation. The CE compliant PCM5 tolerates inputs less than 4 mA. In a manufacturing environment, the PCM5 is used with a process controller and solid state relay to control electric heaters for oven drying manufactured parts. PCM5 is also ideal in water, chemical, automotive and food processing industries.
