Falcon Electric, Inc. (Irwindale, CA) has announced that it has added Lithium-Ion batteries as an option to its 1500VA model of its SSG Series Industrial Grade UPS Plus. Lithium-ion chemistry offers less weight, longer runtimes, and higher energy density over valve regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries. The SSG Series is a double-conversion on-line sinewave regenerative UPS that provides industrial applications with a high level of power. Due to its rugged design, the U.L. listed SSG Series is capable of withstanding elevated temperatures of up to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. The SSG Series, available in 1500VA, 2200VA, and 3000VA configurations, can be placed in an equipment rack or installed as a stand-alone tower in close proximity to the critical load.
