Wiha Tools (Monticello, MN) has introduced new 1000-volt insulated offset ring wrenches, end cutters, hacksaws, voltage detectors, hex metric screwdrivers, and insulated belt pack sets. Wiha’s new line of insulated tools is certified according to EN/IEC 60900, ASTM F1505, and NFPA-70E. Safety tests include a visual inspection and an adhesion check at temperatures up to 70 degrees C. The insulating materials are also flame retardant to prevent risk from fire or spark over. Wiha’s new “professional series long life insulated tools” are guaranteed quality tools that are tested and certified to 10,000 volts AC/1500 volts DC and meet OSHA requirements for use in applications where safety insulated tools are called for.
