MAGNUM CLEAN from CS Unitec, Inc. (Norwalk, CT) is an elastic disc for the deep cleaning of metals. The disc removes paint, rust, scale, and oil smears, as well as cleans without material removal similar to sandblasting. MAGNUM CLEAN’s coarse fleece disc is coated with silicon carbide grit and cleans without harming the base material. The disc itself is iron-free, so there is no risk of corrosion. The coarse fleece material will not glaze or load, even if exposed to heavy contamination. MAGNUM CLEAN discs are available in 5-inch diameter with a 5/8-inch material thickness and 7/8-inch arbor. Recommended for use with speed-controlled angle grinders, the ideal speed is 2000-4500 RPM.
