Using the Sioux SCR control, an outlet temperature within +/- 1 degree F of the set temperature can be achieved. Since the heating element contactors are not cycling on and off continuously, the life of the contactors is increased and the maintenance time and cost for replacing these components is reduced. The SCR is controlled by a solid-state device that has no moving parts, so maintenance and repairs to the controller are eliminated.
