Q Ball’s new core and edge design features improved shearing ability while maintaining cutting-edge strength, resulting in a smoother entry and free-cutting action, as well as faster chip removal and improved finish, according to the company. A new 3-flute center cutting, eccentric relief design allows for higher feed rates for most materials. Richards’ Q Ball carbide end mills are available with a 1/4-inch shank diameter, with end mill diameters ranging from 1/32- to 1/4-inch. Specialty coatings are available.
