The compound also meets California Proposition 65 and helps customers meet regulations involving DEHP and other known cancer-causing chemicals, according to the company. DEHP, Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, is a plasticizer—a chemical agent added to resin to increase its workability during processing and to impart flexibility in the finished product. The hoses ingredients are non-toxic and conform to FDA and USP Class VI standards. The hose provides corrosion, abrasion, and chemical resistance, along with flexibility and a longer life than similar hoses made from rubber, says the company.
