The Series 2 Digital Force Gauges from Cooper Instruments & Systems (Warrenton, VA) are designed for basic tension and compression force testing applications up to 100 lbF (500N). The gauge’s ±0.5 percent accuracy and 500 Hz sampling rate allows reliable peak tension and compression readings, says the company. Current, peak tension, or peak compression readings are displayed by a backlit graphic LCD display. The gauges are overload protected to 150 percent of capacity. An ergonomic, reversible aluminum housing allows for hand held use or fixture mounting, rugged enough for applications in both production and laboratory environments.
