Electronic Nose Sniffs Out Killer Disease
A hand-held device for the early detection of tuberculosis is showing promise during trials in India. Called an "electronic nose," the device could radically improve the diagnosis and cure rate for TB, a disease that kills almost one and a half million people each year in the developing world.
