The competition is open to die castings made with aluminum, magnesium, or zinc. Within these alloy categories, there are specific weight categories that showcase the versatility of these casting materials. The winners in each category will be announced during the 110th Metal Casting Congress in Columbus, OH, April 18-21, 2006. According to NADCA’s President Daniel L. Twarog, the competition does more than highlight the winning designs it also promotes the increased use of castings in the automotive, consume,r and aerospace end markets.
