The new Hybritec combination dryer series from Kaeser (Fredericksburg, VA) combines the energy savings of a refrigerated dryer with the low dew points of a desiccant dryer, according to the company. Hybritec units operate on a process that first treats the air to remove a majority of the water vapor. The air is then further treated by the desiccant dryer, which finally returns the air to the refrigerated dryer to be reheated and delivered to the air system. According to the company, this system has a reduced operating and maintenance cost, less power consumption, and a longer service life.
