According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, workers in hot environments face the risk of heat stress, which can lower mental alertness and physical performance, particularly when wearing safety clothing.

Cotronics (Brooklyn, NY) has engineered the Thermeez 7030, a ceramic-based sealer that is ideal in high-temperature (up to 1,800°F) applications, notably exhaust systems, diesel engines, gas turbines, and heating plants. Unlike epoxy-based adhesives, the 7030 sealer provides high expansion even in the warmest environments.

Ferret Out Your Ferrite

Welds that must survive the rigors of processing plants, where heat, aggressive media, and pressure are all present, can crack if the ferrite content is too low, and become weak if the content is too high.

These new adhesives and cements are EPA-compliant and contain less than 250 grams per liter of VOCs compared to over 600 grams per liter of VOCs in traditional solvent-based contact adhesives and cements.
