Wed, 12/21/2011 - 9:55am

Even on difficult applications, such as copper coils, using Parker Texloc (Ft. Worth, TX) as an outsource resource for custom applying of heat shrinkable tubing eliminates kinking and wrinkles, and ensures consistency every time. Outsourcing reduces scrap and allows clients to use the product immediately upon receipt without using additional warehouse space for carrying inventory. Standard heat shrinkable materials include PTFE in 2:1 and 4:1 expansion ratios and FEP in 1.3/1 and 1.67/1. Both materials meet specifications for AMS-DTL-23051 and ASTM D2302. In addition, both materials are FDA and USP Class VI compliant. Sizes range as small as .010-inch up to 6 inches expanded. Specialty heat shrink is also available in PFA and ETFE.
