Prevent Roof Damage

Thu, 05/05/2011 - 6:54am

The Garland Company, Inc. (Cleveland, OH) has announced upgrades to its R-Mer Edge fascia and coping systems for low-slope roofing, which is the first line of defense against high winds, says the company. The systems are certified to conform to ANSI/SPRI ES-1, which formalizes the International Building Code (IBC) specifications for resistance to wind-related failures. Some benefits of the system include:

  • A streamlined dam profile for the R-Mer Edge fascia.
  • An improved geometry on the inside leg of the coping.
  • Elimination of exposed fasteners that can back out and create leaks.
