A Microscopic Lubrication

Mon, 02/14/2011 - 7:03am

The DAYlube grease — from Dayton Progress (Dayton, OH) — uses nanoceramic particles that act as microscopic ball bearings, which helps provide continuous lubrication to steel surfaces. Dayton Progress has announced that DAYlube is now available in 5-gallon pails, which makes it ideal for high-volume applications, particularly conveyors, bearings, chains, gears, and more. It maintains its viscosity across the full temperature range of -40°F to 800°F, and the nanoceramic particles remain intact to 2,500°F. It has survived the ASTME 4-ball weld test with no weld and minimal damage to all ball bearings.
