ZYP Coatings, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN) introduces is 4-oz. Boron Nitride Aerosol Lubricoat spray can. The small container allows users to test the boron nitride coating on various substrates at temperatures up to 1,000°C in air, and over 1,800°C in inert/nitrogen atmospheres. According to the company, boron nitride is chemically inert and provides non-stick, release, and barrier-layers to reactive materials. In addition, it can be used as a dry-film lubricant for reducing friction and preventing adherence, reaction, or galling.
