Mon, 08/10/2009 - 11:30am

Vent-A-Kiln (Buffalo, NY) has developed the Portable Fume Exhauster (Model PFE), an efficient solution for removing and ventilating fumes produced by welding, brazing, soldering, and plasma cutting. The Model PFE is a mobile version of the wall-mounted Model FE, and yet is a complete, self-contained unit which can be wheeled into any location. The PFE also features:

  • A high-pressure fan fabricated with 14-gauge steel.
  • A rigid, galvanized steel intake hood with a 20-inch gooseneck arm connected to a magnetic base for ease in mounting at the fume source.
  • Two versions: the 1/2 HP model, which features a 4 x 8 inch hood and 4 inch inlet/outlet diameter; and the 1 HP model, which has a 8 x 8 inch hood and 6 inch inlet/outlet diameter.
