Saving Rosie The Riveter's Factory
Celebrated in song, posters, art, and newsreels throughout World War II, “Rosie the Riveter” represented the many women who went to work in America’s factories to take the place of the men who were called to war. Today, an effort is underway to save part of a World War II-era bomber plant from the wrecking ball. A group of donors is trying to raise $5 million by the end of the month, to help create a museum west of Detroit. Learn more at savethebomberplant.org .
