The bars you buy today are the same Rowntree recipe that was used decades ago, so no flavor has been lost over the years. As an added bonus, chocolate appears to be relatively recession-proof — despite increases in the price of cocoa, consumers are almost always willing to maintain their chocolate habit even as pursestrings tighten.
