A full line of clamp-type shaft collars from Stafford Manufacturing Corporation (North Reading, MA) features a smooth bore to prevent gouging expensive shafts or the crushing of tubing. The smooth bore evenly distributes holding power and provides a sure grip. Unlike set-screw collars, these non-marrying clamp-type collars will not dig into the surface of a shaft when tightened. Ideal for use with polished stainless steel shafts and thin-walled tubing or acrylic tubing, Stafford collars come in one- and two-piece styles made from aluminum, steel, plated steel, or stainless steel.
