Cleaver-Brooks (Milwaukee, WI) has launched the CBEX, an integrated boiler, burner, control, and heat recovery system that achieves higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions in a 15 percent smaller footprint. According to the company, the system can meet today’s tougher emissions requirements, including 5 ppm NOx without selective catalytic reduction and 1 ppm CO. In addition, the geometry of the tube allows for an 85 percent increase in heat transfer. The boiler features a water-cooled combustion turn-around area with minimum combustion.
