Smaller, Large-Ranged Power Supplies

Altech (Flemington, NJ) is offering the “PSW Series” AC/DC wide voltage input, DIN rail power supplies, which offer a 50 percent smaller size and a wider input voltage range (180VAC-550VAC and 254VDC-780VDC). The latest family has been designed for high efficiency (up to 93 percent), according to the company. They can also deliver 100 percent power continuously at 50°C by free air convection or can operate under 70°C ambient temperature with suitable derating. The PSW power supplies mount easily on DIN rails, install with universal AC input, comply with UL508 and IEC60950-1 (CB) standards, and meet EMC requirements. Typical applications include industrial control systems, factory automation, elecro-mechanical applications, and more.
