High-Heat Ceramic Sealant

Cotronics (Brooklyn, NY) has engineered the Thermeez 7030, a ceramic-based sealer that is ideal in high-temperature (up to 1,800°F) applications, notably exhaust systems, diesel engines, gas turbines, and heating plants. Unlike epoxy-based adhesives, the 7030 sealer provides high expansion even in the warmest environments. 7030 comes as a powder in quart, gallon, and five-gallon containers. Simply mix with water and apply with a standard calking cartridge — the sealant cures in 24-48 hours at room temperatures, or in 10-60 minutes with mild (250°F) heat.
