Feature-Filled Balance

Gardco (Pompano Beach, FL) has developed the FX-iWP, the first waterproof and dustproof compact precision balance, which incorporates the reduced-sized Super-Hybrid Sensor to provide quick readings with high precision. Six models are available from 120g x 0.0001g to 3200g x 0.01g. A counting function recalculates the average unit weight each time a sample is weighed to eliminate errors caused by variation in the unit weight. In addition, a sample can be registered as “100 percent,” with the weight of other samples measured as a proportion of the first. Many other features come standard on the FX-iWP, including an underhook for hanging applications, bi-directional communication with a PC, and an animal weighing function.
