Toyota Starts Camry Hybrid Production In Taiwan

TOKYO, Feb. 16 (Kyodo) — Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday it has begun production and sales of the Camry Hybrid at a Taiwan plant, its seventh hybrid-vehicle production site outside of Japan.

The Japanese automaker's affiliate Kuozui Motors Ltd. began production Wednesday at its plant in Jungli, Taoyuan County, with the initial annual production and sales in Taiwan projected at around 7,000 vehicles.
