Robots With A Taste For Flesh

James Auger, at the Royal College of Art in London, has built a series of furniture that do a little more than decorate your home. A table that eats mice? Yes, it's true. A fuel cell hidden inside the table can decompose a trapped mouse and generate enough electricity to not only power a table-top display, but also capture the next sorry rodent. In addition, Auger has developed a lamp that catches flies, and like the table, uses a fuel cell to perpetuate its activity. The more flies it eats, the stronger its LED lighting, and thus more flies are attracted to their doom.
