COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (AP) — A northeastern Indiana modular parts manufacturer will create 110 new jobs and invest more than $9 million to expand its operations in Columbia City.

The company known as 80/20 Inc. announced Tuesday it will add more than 90,000 square feet. It now has more than 250 workers in a 135,000-square-foot plant.

The Journal Gazette and The News-Sentinel of Fort Wayne say the Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered 80/20 up to $500,000 in tax credits and up to $200,000 in training grants.

The company makes modular aluminum framing components for safety enclosures, workstations, metal fabricating equipment and other uses. It moved from Fort Wayne to the Whitley County site in 1996. Its name comes from a theory that 80 percent of results come from 20 percent of efforts.
