ABB Plant To Reopen Thursday After Shooting

Tue, 01/12/2010 - 3:35am

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The ABB Inc. plant in St. Louis will reopen on Thursday, one week after a disgruntled employee shot and killed three co-workers and injured five others before turning the gun on himself.

Employees learned of the reopening on Monday, the same day the first of the victims, 27-year-old Cory Wilson of Collinsville, Ill., was laid to rest.

Police are still looking for a motive. The shooter, 51-year-old Timothy Hendron of Webster Groves, was involved in a lawsuit over ABB's management of a retirement plant, but it isn't clear if that had anything to do with the Jan. 7 shooting spree.

A funeral for 55-year-old Terry Mabry of Moscow Mills is Tuesday, while the funeral for 57-year-old Carlton Carter is Wednesday. Arrangements for Hendron have not been made public.
