Up until now, American battery manufacturing has been nonexistent, meaning that Asian companies like Sanyo have taken in all the profits. As Ann Marie Sastry, CEO of Satki3, says, battery manufacturing is in a “dead sprint” toward stealing back market share, and it’s going to change the landscape of American automaking forever.
