RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — ABB Inc. is planning a $4.6 million expansion of its manufacturing facility in Virginia's Halifax County. Gov. Bob McDonnell announced the expansion Wednesday in a news release. McDonnell says the expansion will create 15 jobs and preserve 140. The facility produces liquid-cooled transformers for large utility, industrial and government users.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee is offering a discount on water to certain businesses. Mayor Tom Barrett is giving a water rate discount to businesses that use a large quantity of water in their processing activities, like cooling and washing or in its food and beverage production. Barrett says he hopes the discount will help attract business and encourage expansion.
SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) — One worker exposed to chlorine gas at a Tyson Foods Inc. chicken processing plant in Arkansas remains in intensive care and 13 others are still hospitalized. Tyson spokesman Gary Mickelson said in an email to The Associated Press Wednesday that the number of hospitalized workers is down from about 50 Tuesday.

Obama says companies need to have the freedom to relocate work, though they must follow the law when doing so.
