WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) — Investment firm Compass Diversified Holdings is buying CamelBak Products LLC, a maker of reusable water bottles, military gloves and other goods, for $257.5 million. Compass CEO Alan Offenberg said in a statement that CamelBak has strong brand recognition and hopes to capitalize on increasing demand for its hydration products.

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) — The former Mississippi Army Ammunition Plant facility and its 1.6 million square feet of space have been transferred to NASA's John C. Stennis Space Center. DETROIT (AP) — General Motors Co. is cutting its production of pickup trucks next month, a sign that truck sales aren't as robust as the company had hoped. Spokesman Tom Wickham said Thursday that GM cancelled five scheduled overtime shifts on Saturdays in September and October.
LITCHVILLE, N.D. (AP) — A fire at a fertilizer plant in the southeastern North Dakota town of Litchville destroyed a building and about $300,000 worth of dry fertilizer. Fire Chief Darren Miedema tells The Jamestown Sun that no one was hurt in the fire early Tuesday. The cause of the blaze wasn't immediately determined, but Dakota Plains Cooperative President Ken Astrup says the fire might have been sparked by lightning.
