DETROIT (AP) — Air bags have long been mounted in the steering wheel, dashboard and sides of vehicles. Now, they're in the seat belts. Ford Motor Co. ( NYSE:F ) plans to introduce seat belt-mounted air bags in the back seat of the 2011 Ford Explorer sport utility vehicle, which will hit the market next fall.
MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — A solar panel company is moving some jobs overseas after receiving $58 million in state aid and being touted by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick as a symbol of the state's economic future. Evergreen Solar Inc. ( ESLR ) said Wednesday it is moving panel assembly jobs currently done at a plant in Devens to China next year.

The sensor is a solution for brine interface applications, such as measuring the level of settled salt under water. Thomson (Wood Dale, IL) introduces the RW64-V RoundWay Linear Roller Bearing, a 4” version with a dynamic load capacity of 70,000 lbf (310,800 N), more than 20 times the load capacity of a conventional linear ball bearing. The RoundWay can carry that load even at operating temperatures up to 500°F and speeds up to 100 ft/s (68mph).
WASHINGTON (AP) — The government says Toyota Motor Corp. is misleading consumers about an investigation into problems with stuck gas pedals that led to a massive Toyota recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday it was still investigating the case and meeting with Toyota to hear about the company's plan to redesign the vehicles and fix "this very dangerous problem.

OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) — City officials in Okmulgee say a Florida-based waste recycling company will build a plant and bring about 1,400 jobs to the northeastern Oklahoma town.
